What Do You Want Me To Write About in 2015?

Can I request two minutes of your time?

I need your help. After seven years of blogging about leading well, and after publishing a book on leading across distance and cultures, I’m ready to address some fresh ideas and topics.

There’s an overwhelming amount of information on basic leadership that gets circulated, regurgitated, and retweeted each hour out there. That’s good. Sometimes we don’t need new ideas but just to be reminded of timeless principles.

But, maybe, like me, you’re hungering for some fresh insight.

What are two or three leadership questions or issues you’d like to know more about in 2015?

Would you take one minute to think, and another minute to post a comment here or tweet to me @kencochrum?

    Thanks Ken. Here are three questions:
    • How can I exercise influence in a team dominated by older (by age & service in the organisation) people?
    • How can a safe environment be created to encourage vulnerability, honesty, accountability & critiquing.
    • How can unity & oneness be promoted in a team that had been polarized into cliques.

    • How to best leverage and document expertise from older employees before they retire?

    • How to engage elder employees in spite of their potential discomfort with the modern generations’ communication and work styles?

    For a global organization such as yours, an important leadership question for you, and one I’ve faced multiple times in my own global career, is how can you better lead and leverage resources across cultural and geographic boundaries. Global organizations can produce and leverage thought leadership and content at unprecedented rates today, especially because of today’s digital reach, but many face a leadership challenge in unlocking their organization’s full potential.
